How did Kita get started?
I began designing my nails as a young girl and later became an established business owner of Kita's Designs LLC in March of 2014. In 2006 I was inclined to learn the art of "laying acrylic" from Al, salon owner of Queen Nails salon, Wilkinsburg PA. Later I obtained my nail technician license from North Hills Beauty Academy in 2013. I'm influenced by entrepreneurs such as Madame C.J. Walker; the first female millionaire in the beauty industry. Continuing to become a trailblazing entrepreneur, I later began to mentor young women seeking to start a career in the beauty industry. Kita's Designs LLC travels to all clientele giving them a personal experience. "I love the 1 on 1 time with my clients, it lets me get to know them". I service clients within the comfort of their home, office, hotel, plane, private jet, etc. I've been nominated for several awards including the prestigious Bella Award for "Pittsburgh's Best Nail Artist" in 2014. I have also been acknowledged on the Oxygen TV network's social media account for my 3-D hand sculpted perfume bottle with liquid inside, interviewed on radio shows and featured in magazines such as Nail Pro Magazine in December 2015. Shortly after, I began designing the nails of TV personality, Abby Lee of hit show series "Dance Moms". My "designing" doesn't stop there, Kita's Designs has showcased in New York Fashion Week for my fashion line W.I.D.A. in spring/fall of 2017 as well as spring 2020 . As of December 2020 I have been included in the *Marquis Who's Who in America* for professionalism & dedication to the beauty industry within my career. As I continue to excel in my career, I will encourage and empower those around me to stand in their own truth.
You have to take a loss to receive a gain.
